Calculation of Benefits
AAB : Monthly salary/4 x 80%/0.8%
DI / PIP / PIB : 1/12 (Annual salary x 75%) [ for annual 
salary less than or equal to HK$500,000]
: 1/12 [ 75% x HK$500,000 + (annual salary - HKD500,000) x 50% ] 
[ for annual salary more than HK$500,000]
APDB : DI amount x 12 x 10 
HI / RP / RB : Monthly salary / 20 x 80%
Note:
1. Maximum PIP / PIB will be limited to 50% of the 
applicant’s monthly income if only Life Application Form 
(U03) is to be submitted.
2. For total PIP /PIB exceeds HKD 30,000 per month, 
Application for Disability Income (U39) is required in 
addition to Life Application (U03)
3. Any existing or pending individual / group disability 
income benefit, or advance payment disability benefit, 
will be taken into consideration to determine maximum DI amount per Life.
