disaster,  and  cause  irreparabledamage to property, and even loss of life.

FIRE
火灾风险
Fire  is  one  of  the  leading  cause  of  home  injuries  and  property 
damages/loss.  Due to the lack of equipped fire facilities, house 
fire  would  engulf  all  property  and  lives  in  the  event  of  fire. 
According to the statistics of the Ministry of Public Security of the 
P. R. China,  in  2012,  although  home fires have only represented 
33%  of  the  total  fires,  but  it  has  accounted  nearly  70%  of  the 
total  number  of  deaths  caused  by  fires.  In  China,  the  fire  is 
usually due to aging wires and other electrical issues. Meanwhile, 
smoking, candles and cooking are also the leading causes of home fires.

火灾是造成家庭人员伤亡和财产损失的首要原因之一。因为很少配备消防设施，一旦发生火灾，大火往往会吞噬房屋中的一切财产和生命。据中国公安部统计，在 2012 年，尽管只占火灾总数的 33%，但家庭火灾所造成的死亡人数却占到了 70%左右。在中国，火灾通常是由于电线老化和其他电气原因所造成的。同时，吸烟、蜡烛和烹饪也是家庭火灾的重要诱因。
Kitchen fire prevention

Never leave the kitchen when using the range for cooking.
在使用炉灶时切勿离开厨房。
Clean regularly residual grease and other food debris left from cooking. 
定期清理烹饪过程中所残留的油脂和食物碎屑。
Children should be supervised at all times while in the kitchen.
看护好在厨房玩耍的孩子。
Ensure there is an easily accessible fire extinguisher in the kitchen at 
all times. 
确保厨房内配有易于拿取的灭火器。
Never use aluminum foil to cover food when using microwave ovens.

Check the natural gas/LP gas system  at  home. You would look for loose 
fittings, leaking  valves
and debris or improperly stored flammable materials in areas near these appliances.

Keep matches, lighters and candles out of reach and out of sight of children.
